Homeowner's Association

When you have just bought your home, there are probably many things that you are trying to get taken care of when you have first moved in. You may have lots of boxes to unpack as well as furniture to rearrange and other things of that sort. You may not be thinking about joining the local Homeowner’s Association, but they might be thinking of you.

The HOA or the Homeowner’s Association is a close knit organization that works to take care of the neighborhood and look out for the best interests of the neighborhood as a whole. The HOA will write out a list of conditions and restrictions that everyone who owns a home in the area will be required to follow. These rules are put in place because they want to do what’s best for the homes, the owners, and the neighborhood. The Homeowner’s Associations are usually a non-profit organization that is trying to improve the overall character of the neighborhood including all the people who live in it.

There are many different types of rules that can be enforced by your local homeowner’s association to keep your house looking clean and presentable to anyone that may come into the neighborhood. The rules may be ones such as keeping your law cleanly cut and trimmed. Another rule might be one that will not allow you to have any type of lawn gnome in your lawn at any time. Many of these rules exist in the association and must be abided by in order to continue to participate in the association.
